Okay, so I went and played on the dares thread at nanowrimo.org, and so had FUN.

I'm scrapping EVERYTHING. And starting over.

It will be crack. I can't guarantee I will make sense when this is done, but I don't care, I've been laughing all night and all morning, and I kid you not, I've laughed more in the last... oh, probably 12 hours than I have the last three MONTHS. If not longer.

So. Crack. Because I'm pretty sure that YoungSaeng of SS501 did not, in fact, go streaking JUST after the group released "Love Like This". I'm also fairly sure that DongHae will walk through doors, and not get transported all over the world. Um. And there is more, but I'm not going to mention anything else (because it's not planned yet. HAH!).

So. Yeah. Will post the table, and add in the titles as they are written.

But I'm probably not going to post this. I mean it when I say it makes no sense.

Which is good. It didn't look like it'd be much, this morning, but it's DEEP, now.

So, I used today to get stuff done. So far today:

Now, if I can just keep up this productivity....

The kids, amazingly, played nicely together (mostly), and played their games, and didn't ask for a movie until after I'd started the bread.

My goal is 75k, because I want to wrap up a bunch of stuff I have hanging around. And it bothers me.

I may not actually get that much; I don't know if the four other fics I have in mind have 25k left in them, combined, but I'll consider it reached if I've actually finished them. I don't even care if I never post them or anything. I'll have them done.

Well, I'll have to post at least three of them.

"Wait, you want me to what?" Junsu asked.

"Close your eyes."

"How will that help?"

Geng growled. "Do you want to learn this or not?" he asked, and Junsu nodded.

"Yes."

"Then close your eyes."

Hesitantly, Junsu did so, hoping he wouldn't be left here for people to laugh at. He didn't know Geng well.

"Good. Now, listen to the wind."

Junsu peeked at him. "Just listen?"

Geng scowled at him, and he closed his eyes again. "Just listen."

He didn't actually hear anything, but he could feel it, feel…. "Oh," he murmured, and opened his eyes.

Only then did he realize he was in the air, over the treetops. His eyes widened and he stiffened.

Wrong thing. With a cry, he dropped toward the ground - but he didn't fall very far. Air firmed around him, lowering him gently back to Earth. "Now I know why you said to keep my eyes closed," Junsu said.

Geng lifted one eyebrow. "That's good. Now. Close your eyes, and try again."

Disclaimer: Not mine, not true. And no, I don't think it happened this way.
Summary: SungMin's had a rotten day, and he doesn't need KyuHyun to make it worse.
Writer's note: This came to me after watching this… I'm not sure why (there are links to the whole show, but this last one is all that's really pertinent). It seemed to fit, so here you are. Oh, and I'm sorry if it's a little… confusing (the fic, I mean).

"Hyung, what the hell was that?"

SungMin looked up from his journal, face carefully bland. He did not want to face KyuHyun now. "What was what?"

KyuHyun's eyes flashed, and he stalked forward, nudging the door closed. "You know that song forwards and backwards. Don't try to tell me you forgot it."

SungMin closed his journal with a soundless sigh, and stood to face his dongsaeng. "I started in the wrong place." He'd known this conversation would happen, just not quite so soon. The excuse was good. And… not a lie. Best kind.

"No."

SungMin lifted an eyebrow. "No? Hyun-ah, yes. That's what happened." He didn't want this conversation. Not now, not ever.

KyuHyun strode two steps closer and grasped SungMin's shirt. "You don't mess up," he hissed, furious. "You don't make those kind of mistakes."

SungMin didn't try to get free - and he could have, without hurting either of them. "No one is perfect, Hyun-ah."

"Did you throw it?" KyuHyun demanded. "Did you fail on purpose?"

"KyuHyun."

The magnae let go and turned to look at Kangin, still angry. SungMin stepped back, out of his immediate reach, and folded his arms. "What?" KyuHyun snapped.

"Leave him alone."

KyuHyun's lip curled, but he stalked out of the room. Kangin shut it behind him and looked at Sungmin, who sighed and sat down, certain he knew what was coming next.

"What was that about?" Kangin asked.

"The KBS Song Challenge thing we filmed earlier today. He thinks I lost on purpose."

"Did you?"

SungMin couldn't meet his eyes. "Doesn't matter."

"To whom?" Kangin asked gently.

SungMin shrugged and didn't answer.

"It looks to me like it matters to you," Kangin said, and let himself out.

SungMin sagged on his bed, then got up and went back to his journal.

SungMin felt like he stood under a spotlight every time KyuHyun looked at him, but it was not in his nature to retreat. He also caught strange looks from Kangin, and the manager who had talked to him, and shrugged them off as well, continuing to go through his life as normal as possible.

Two weeks later, KyuHyun cornered him after a performance, when they had time to actually talk - and everyone else was busy. "What is wrong with you?"

In the middle of changing his shirt, SungMin froze, then pulled the costume shirt off and laid it down, grabbing his own t-shirt. "Wrong with me?" he repeated.

"You're aloof. That's not like you."

SungMin snorted as he pulled his shirt over his head. "You're all looking at me like something should be wrong with me," he said, pulling the shirt so it lay flat.

"Why is the manager-hyung so concerned?"

Sungmin used the excuse of figuring out how to get the pants to unbuckle to give himself time to think. "I don't know."

"I don't like it when you lie to me."

SungMin stared at him. "I don't lie to you, Hyun-ah."

"No, but if Kangin hadn't interrupted, you would have." KyuHyun folded his arms and glared, daring SungMin to contradict him.

SungMin shrugged and slid out of the pants. "Fine," he said. "Yes, manager-hyung 'suggested' I throw the challenge." He caught KyuHyun's stunned look out of the corner of his eye as he pulled on his own sweats.

"So you did."

"I told him it was stupid, but he insisted." SungMin shrugged.

"Why?"

SungMin gave him an incredulous look. "Because your smile is so contagious, and we haven't seen it in so long," he said, and grabbed his jacket. "You look really happy lately - like the pain is gone - and he wanted to keep it that way."

KyuHyun stared at him, and then scowled.

"No, don't do that!" SungMin protested. "I told him it'd make you mad. But don't let it. It's how it works, you know that."

"Doesn't mean I like it."

"You don't have to," LeeTeuk said, appearing next to them, "but you'd better change, Hyun-ah."

KyuHyun glanced around, and then with a quick bow, went to find his own clothes.

LeeTeuk grinned at SungMin. "You look like you feel better."

SungMin smiled. "A little." He should have known; no one got away with much in this group, not with LeeTeuk around.

The last of the ill feeling vanished when KyuHyun fell asleep on his shoulder on the way home.

:It looked like a battleground. Most of the bodies of people he didn't know lay still; those he did know looked as if beating the others had taken everything they had. SungMin didn't know why he was moving, except with recent events, he had to find Geng-sshi.

He stepped past YunHo-sshi, sitting against a wall, one of his own bandaging his leg, but their some-time ally didn't look up. SungMin didn't care.

Finally, he found who he sought - and almost wished he hadn't.

Geng lay on his back, arms outspread, eyes staring up at the sky, sightless. Whatever had killed him had taken him by surprise. SungMin let out a strangled cry…:

…and woke up, half off the bed in the upstairs guestroom. "He's…" he started, looking around in a panic.

"You're at the house, SungMin." Strangely enough, Zhou Mi's voice calmed him only a little. "It was just a dream." The other man's hands fell on his shoulders, steadying him further. "Stop."

SungMin looked up, blinking to try to get rid of the image. "I…. He…," he stuttered, and then slumped, stunned. "Oh, wow."

"SungMin," Mi said, the frown obvious in his words. "What did you dream about?"

"Geng-sshi. That they… want him dead. And they did it."

Mi's words - that they weren't in a war - did not ease the horror of his nightmare.

Zhou Mi stood casually outside the office where Ryeowook still worked - although the younger man had said he was almost done. Mi flicked the lighter open and then shut again, considering.

He'd had a good teacher in JaeBeom, and had been glad to have a hand in the revenge for his death. The ability to set fires, to burn something hot and destroy it, would come in handy today. And might help keep Henry safe, as well, if people learned to keep their hands off the runners.

The study door opened and ChangMin came out first, nodding stiffly to Mi as he stood aside for Ryeowook to come out. "I'll make sure all pertinent info gets to JaeJoong," Ryeowook said with a bow to Mi. "Will you tell DongHae we've gone?"

"Of course." He bowed back, and strode back to the room where he'd seen DongHae, interrogating those DongHae had told him had come to bid on EunHyuk.

Mi's eyes narrowed as DongHae straightened and met him by the door. "Ryeowook said to tell you they're gone."

DongHae nodded. "They didn't know who EunHyuk was," he said. "He'd said it was just a runner."

Mi nodded. That helped him make a decision. "Will you give their names to JaeJoong?"

"Yes."

"Thank you. Is he awake?"

"Stirring, I think. You cleared the house?"

"Yes."

DongHae nodded. "They're all yours."

Mi bowed. "Thank you."

He regarded the seven people as DongHae left the room, then strode forward to stand in front of them. "My colleague said you did not know who you bid on," he said carefully. He could speak the language, but his accent was very thick. "You should, perhaps, think twice about bidding next time."

He cut them lose, not trying to hide the tattoo that decorated his arm, and caught their startled glances. "Run," he advised them, kneeling down and putting the lighter - lit again - to one of the chairs.

They fled, leaving the auctioneer on the dais, still unconscious. Mi straightened with a smirk and snapped the lighter shut, then turned to the man who had kidnapped EunHyuk.

He didn't stir. Mi watched him for a moment, and then with a shrug, he strode out of the room and to the rest of the house.

He could make it look like an accident... or make it an example. And, he could make sure the police had no way to trace it back to him, only to a man they'd killed.

A smile crossed his face as he began to set his fire. Oh, yeah. He'd enjoy this.

KyuHyun stood outside the ramen shop, waiting patiently, leaning against the wall. SungMin had laughed - an increasingly frequent occurrence recently, thankfully - when KyuHyun explained why he wouldn't meet SungMin for pool that Friday night.

YounHa stepped out and smiled at him. "Hey, oppa."

KyuHyun pushed away from the wall. "Good evening." He offered her his arm, and she took it. "Dinner, dancing, hot bath?" he asked.

Her smile widened. "Dinner, hot bath... and we'll see about dancing."

KyuHyun smirked. "What are you in the mood for?"

Whatever it was, he suspected the dancing she meant wasn't at a club.
