Here is my rewritten list:
First: Criteria
Link to the original website.
The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as new year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
Some common goal setting tips:
1. Be decisive. Know exactly what you want, why you want it, and how you plan to achieve it.
2. Stay Focussed. Any goal requires sustained focus from beginning to end. Constantly evaluate your progress.
3. Welcome Failure. Frequently, very little is learned from a venture that did not experience failure in some form. Failure presents the opportunity to learn and makes the success more worthy.
4. Write down your goals. It clarifies your thinking and reinforces your commitment.
5. Keep your goals in sight. Review them frequently, and ensure that they are always at the forefront of your thinking.
I reworked this because some of the goals did not follow the criteria stated above, and some were simply too vague. I think there are a few that are still too vague, but not nearly as many. I hope.
I'm keeping some ideas from my original post: if the goal is in progress, it's italicized; if it's done, it's bolded with the date after it. If it becomes impossible or obsolete (or, as in some cases last time, invalid), I'll strike it through. The list my idea is based on is found here.
This is, then, my plan:
The red is for those that have more than one stage to them.
The italicized goals are those that I have started or want to begin. Some of these will be in this state for a year or so.
The bolded ones are finished, and are followed by a blue date and possibly author's notes. Also, the itemized ones - the stages after it - will have the numbers in blue as I go through them - unless I fail, in which case they will remain red.
Thestruck through goals are the ones that are impossible any more, obsolete, or, as in the case of the original list, invalid. It will also mean those that have I failed to complete.
The green means that for those months, I excused myself (in the case of May 2007, I had a baby), or the goal has become invalid (in the case of calling the choir and activity days lessons, those were both cancelled for the months in green). I will only do this - in the first case - due to something I simply cannot help, and it will happen only after some serious thought on my part.
So, here is my list:

Hm... how's the best way to get it to you?
100, "Nanowrimo" - wasn't that the killer challenge of writing a novel in a month?
Are Taran and Elyssa your children? The names are beautiful.
83 sounds as if you'll donate your hair. I never heard of that before.
53 through 60: thank goodness you seperated the dejunking into several goals, makes it easier to reach one goal and be motivated for the others.
From your 333 days update it looks as if you're doing well. Good luck with the next third!
They are. The youngest two - the oldest is Maggie.
83 - That's exactly what it is. They use it to make wigs for people who lose theirs due to cancer.
Gah, yeah. No way I'd try it all at once! Although it's suggested to just do it that way, but some of us have kids. And livejournal additction.
If you want, I can give you the code - it's not hard, just really, really reptitive.
About the wigs: I have to keep that in mind. If I ever cut my hair again I know what to do with the stuff. I cut my hair a few years ago from hip length to shoulder length. What a shame I didn't know about that option then! On another thought: how long should the hair be at least?
WriNaMo or what it was sounds very seductive but I could never to it unless I had absolutely nothing else to do in that month. I just know that I would drop into it completely and probably only surface once a week to take a shower and shop for groceries.
Talk to whoever does your hair. They'll probably have a place. I did mine to Locks of Love, but I know there are others.
Nanowrimo. It is. And yes, that is how a lot of people do it. Others... manage relatively normal lives. It's a fine line. I think you should do it. ^_^
But I'm sadistic like that.

Hehe. Gee, thanks. ;)
